In any undertaking in life, you will need some degree of courage and the will to take a step forward. Whether you want to start a business, lead others, build a family, change careers, or even break a world record in your sport—it all requires courage!
Scriptural Foundation: Courage
Psalm 31:23-24 (KJV):"O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord."
Breaking It Down
The word “preserveth” (Merriam-Webster) means “to keep safe from injury, harm, or destruction.”
But who are the faithful? In this context, being faithful means being full of faith and trustful, not just trustworthy.
The passage tells us that:
God preserves the faithful and rewards the proud doer—not just any doer, but those who act with confidence and gratitude.
Courage is a choice. Just as choosing fear is a choice, so is choosing to live courageously.
Strength comes after courage. God strengthens our hearts after we decide to step forward in faith.
God’s word is clear—He will act. It’s not a possibility but a certainty!
Verses About God's Character
📖 Numbers 23:19 (NIV):"God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?"
📖 Psalm 138:2 (NIV):"I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word."
Takeaway
God’s word, character, and promises are greater than anything you may face. Trust that what He has spoken, He will do. Press forward with courage, knowing that God will strengthen your heart for the journey ahead!
